Socks. Bamboozle. Yes.

Socks for my mom, in Crystal Palace Bamboozle. Bamboo, Cotton, and Nylon. Very stretchy and squishy – felt great knitting, and the socks feel great, too.

The pattern is Yarmando‘s mashup of Knitty’s Widdershins and Judy Gibson’s You’re Putting Me On Socks. I’ve made 2 or 3 pairs of Widdershins before and love the pattern (toe up, nice heel flap and gusset) but the Knitty pattern is only 1 gauge. This makes it generic for gauge and size — my new favorite sock pattern! These knit at 6 stitches per inch on US 4’s.

For the leg and instep, I used the waffle pattern from Laura Galleger’s “Fluted Banister” sock pattern (thanks, Nancy, for the link!).
